Bill
Corbett is known around the world as an underground
party DJ Bill Dup. Apart from playing regularly in London he has
held residencies at clubs accross the globe from Asia to South
America. Bill first started making music in the Punk Era, first
on drums, then Bass and finally picking up a guitar after hearing
the Jimi Hendrix Classic 'Voodoo Chile (slight return)'. After
15 years in various bands he had a similar revelation on a dance
floor and decided to become a DJ! (Bills prone to revelations!).
In 2001 he released the mix cd Dusted Down
and is currently working a new project called Ogg
Vorbis. His career has taken him from The Ministry of Sound
(both in London and Hong Kong) to Tate Britain Art Gallery. While
electronic music ushered in a new dawn for musicians it lost some
of the groove that guitars could bring to the song, this lead
Bill to have his latest revelation-Insane Guitar Tools!

Propellerhead
Reason is the single most amazing invention for
musicians since the guitar, allowing even the most modest budget
the ability to compose any type of song, it's like having Abbey
Road Studios in your front room! Although Reason
includes some very nice guitar sounds in the Reason
SoundBank it isn't 'nice' guitar
sounds that make the guitar such an exciting instrument, it's
fuzz, distortion and feedback! With the introduction of the Scream
4 distortion unit in Reason 2.5 the need for a good guitar refill
became paramount, so Bill asked old school friend Julian Portinari
to record one.....
Julian
Portinari
Julian began playing Bass over 20 years
ago. His main inspiration was the Bass playing of Jean Jaques
Burnel from The Stranglers and Lemmy. By the time Metallica appeared
he was already Londons Fuzz Bass meastro and fans refused to belive
that 'Anasthesia:Pulling teeth' wasn't him! After a hiatus behind
the books studying History he went to the London College of Printing
to study sound design. His projests have included work for the
Royal Shakespeare Company, The Phillip Lawrence Foundation and
many film scores.
He has recently produced for Sugarstick
and has a new project underway...
Fortunately for Bill, his old friend
with a degree in sound design happened to share a flat with Steve
Yates...
Steve
Yates
Steve Yates is a highly respected guitarist
and tutor having been voted number one guitarist in the UK in
2000. He teaches guitar professionally and plays a variety of
styles to concert level from Rock to Classical.
